Gary J. Zarr is a Principal and Co-Founder of PHIL & Co., a strategic, full service marketing and communications agency specializing in non-profits and companies doing good. Throughout his career of over 25 years as a senior executive in the public, private and non-profit sectors, Mr. Zarr has developed, managed and implemented communications and marketing strategies for clients ranging from Times Square, the Democratic National Convention and the United Nations to Central Park, BAFTA and the William Morris Agency. Previously,he served as the senior communications and marketing executive at the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the American Museum of Natural History, where he also managed business development and content distribution worldwide. Early in his career, Mr. Zarr worked in journalism, teaching and in government, including the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and Battery Park City Authority.
