Mike Ernst is a Project Manager in Policy & Planning at MAS. Mike’s work has focused on participatory planning, design and education. Before moving to New York, Mike worked in the San Francisco Bay Area as a planning and design consultant on a wide variety of projects, and was the 2007 Piero N. Patri Fellow in Urban Design at the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses on urban planning with IHP’s “Cities in the 21st Century” semester abroad and at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. He holds a degree in interdisciplinary studies from Miami University of Ohio and a Master’s in City Planning from UC Berkeley.
